“Had a very crackly line. Rang BT and after about 20 minutes spoke to 2 very nice but completely useless call centre guys, who said the line was OK and I need to get it fixed my end. Rang Bill at XBT who came the next day. Turned out the line was faulty outside after all. Bill rang BT and spoke to them on my behalf and they agreed to send an engineer in 3 days time. More than happy to pay for his time as I was getting nowhere with BT and at least I knew I would not get lumped with their £130 call out fee. He also rearranged my filter and extension cable and my broadband speed almost doubled. Very happy…”
