ADSL Faceplate Filter with Plastic IDC Connection Tool

A splitter of the type installed and used by the BT engineer for an installed ADSL service. It replaces the removable bottom section of your NTE5A Master socket. Once the faceplate filter has been fitted it will filter all extensions around your house. You will not need any further separate filters. It has connections on the front to plug in an ADSL Modem/Router and a telephone. On the rear There are IDC push in terminals which allow you to connect filtered extensions. Fully compatible with both BT ADSL and ADSL2+ services.

Note: Your broadband is only available where the NTE5A & faceplate filter have been fitted. If you wanted BB in your study upstairs then the NTE5 and faceplate would need to be moved there. You will not need filters on the other extensions if you use the faceplate filter. If you choose to use a plug in ADSL filter for your broadband, then other filters must be in place on other extensions.

NB. There should be no T or Y (Tee'd or Star Wired) junctions on the way to your NTE5 Master Socket.

NTE5A Master Socket & ADSL Faceplate Filter with Plastic IDC Connection Tool

If you do not want lots of other filters around the house then this is for you. All brand new and sealed, easy to fit and come with clear instructions The NTE5A master is normally the first socket on your line. The bottom section of the NTE5A is removable allowing the ADSL faceplate filter to be fitted. Once the faceplate filter has been fitted it will filter all extensions around your house. You will not need any further separate filters. The NTE5A consists of three parts, a surface-mounting box, the NTE5A front section incorporating a test socket and the standard removable faceplate. The removable connection unit provides a clear demarcation between the customer extension wiring and the network operator's line. There are IDC terminals A and B on the rear for the incoming line to be connected. The NTE5A is 8.5cm square and can be surface mounted using the supplied backbox or flush mounted using a single gang wallbox. Our NTE5A is manufactured by Pressac, who also supply BT. So essentially this is the same product that BT use just without the logo.
